MARIA BADRAKHAN, Acting Assistant Executive Director

Maria Badrakhan currently serves as the Acting Assistant Executive Director for the Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles.
As Acting Assistant Executive Director, she has oversight responsibility for the Housing Management Division, Assisted Housing Division, Office of Community and Educational Partnerships (OCEP), and the Fraud Unit.
Ms. Badrakhan brings over 20 years of public sector experience in local government in the areas of public housing and community development.
Ms. Badrakhan earned a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, in 1978 with a major in Urban and Rural Studies. She went on to earn her M.A. Degree from the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1982.
Under Ms. Badrakhan's leadership, the Housing Authority has been recognized nationally for implementing "Best Practices" in the housing field. The agency has received numerous awards for the variety of programs it has implemented over the last several years.
