CORDÉ CARRILLO, Director
Economic Redevelopment Division
Mr. Carrillo joined the CDC in 1991 as Manager of Economic Development. He was promoted to Director of Economic Development/Redevelopment Division in 1993. Before joining the CDC, Mr. Carrillo was a project manager with a major shopping center development and management company from 1984 until 1991.
Prior to working in the private sector, Mr. Carrillo worked in the City of Los Angeles' Mayor's Office of Economic Development and the Los Angeles LDC for four years. He served as an Assistant Economist and a Loan Officer for SBA and City funded loan programs during that time.
Mr. Carrillo earned a B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles in Political Science and went on to earn his MBA from Pepperdine University in 1982.
Mr. Carrillo currently serves on the County's Workforce Investment Board and is a member of several economic development organizations. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the California Association for Local Economic Development.
